I just wanted to send you a photo of my grandfather
Jacob M. "Jake" Miller. Jake and Rebecca Fox had a daughter together by
the name of Artie Fox who married Cephus Keever in Alexander Co., NC.
Rebecca, Artie and Cephus are buried in Friendship Lutheran Church
cemetery in Alexander Co., NC.
Jake and Rebecca never married; however we always knew Artie, their
daughter, was my dad's half sister and Dad would take us to visit Aunt
Artie many times in my youth. I always think of her "lasse buscuits
(molasses)" when I think of her. Jacob "Jake" married first Martha
Etta Teague of Alexander Co., daughter of Henry and Obedience Warren
Teague. After her death in 1907 he later married a widow Bessie Susan
Cloer Stanford. my grandmother.
