My grandfather, Jacob M. "Jake" Miller was a son of Noah and Leah Hefner Miller.  Jacob fathered a daughter with Rebecca Fox, daughter of David and Prudence Munday Fox.  Her name was Artie Fox, born 25 Sept 1885 in Alexander County, who married Cephus Keever.  I remember visiting Aunt Artie in my younger days.Jacob "Jake" Miller married Martha Etta Teague, daughter of Henry and Obedience "Beady" Warren Teague on 1 Apr 1888 In Alexander County.  They had four children: Amanda, Hilliard, Loyd and Fannie Lucille and another that died at birth.  Etta died in 1907 just a few months after Fannie Lu was born. Jake and Martha are buried in Macedonia Baptist Church near Taylorsville, NC.

   After Martha Etta's death in 1907, Jacob moved around and married Bessie Susan Cloer Stanford, widow of J. William "Will" Stanford (my grandmother) in Patterson, Caldwell County, NC, on 10 Sept 1916.  They had two children, Annie Pearl Miller and James Woodrow Miller (my father).  Jake died in 1944 and was buried at Macedonia.  Bessie died in 1971 and was buried with her first husband at Harper's Chapel Methodist Church in Patterson.

    Jacob "Jake" Miller had a sister Harriet E. Miller, also a daughter of Noah and Leah Hefner Miller, who married Milas Gavin Mays, son of Jackson and Mahalia Pope Mays, on 24 Dec 1891 in Alexander County.  They had a son Daniel Franklin Mays who was born 28 July 1893.  Harriet died soon after although I do not know the exact year or where she is buried.   Milas married Ola Fox on 6 Apr 1897 in Alexander County.  They had several children.  Between the years 1904 and 1905 Milas moved his family to Pottawatomie Co., Oklahoma where they are found in the 1910 census.

Over the past fifteen years the fashion photography industry has experienced explosive growth.  As a result of this growth numerous photographers have helped in sculpting the modern fashion landscape.  While the quality of their collective work is great, they statistically fall short of one major credential, having worked on both sides of the camera.

Heather Forrester is a Florida native with over 20 years experience in the fashion industry.  With a career that includes both runway and print modeling in Atlanta and New York, as well as various movie appearances, such as "Scream 2", and the WB television series "Savannah".

Through these experiences Heather found her niche on the other side of the lens and her natural ability is clearly evident in her work.  She has been able to create a unique style as a photographer and has a keen grasp of the human form in fashion.  One of her strongest assets is her ability to bring out the desired attitude, expression, pose, mood, in short "The Look".
